Explore the magnificent Isle of Anglesey further by heading to the nearby village of Moelfre, grabbing an ice cream and strolling along the harbour, paying a visit to the RNLI Lifeboat Station. Venture along the coastal path, taking in the magnificent beaches and rocky coves of Rhosneigr and Trearddur Bay, popular for surfing and other watersports, and stopping off at the South Stack Lighthouse RSPB Reserve, a nature lover’s dream. The historic town of Beaumaris is further afield, resting on the Menai Strait and overlooking the Eryri (Snowdonia) mountain range, home to a medieval castle, Victorian pier, gaol and courthouse and diverse architecture. Cross the Menai Bridge towards the mainland and find the university and cathedral town of Bangor, boasting shops, pubs, restaurants and bars, while the magnificent Eryri (Snowdonia) National Park offers walkers, cyclists and hikers incredible mountainous terrain to explore, including Yr Wyddfa (Snowdon), Wales’ highest peak.
