Head to the first floor to find the master bedroom, enhanced with a king-size bed and neutral colour scheme, and served by a shower room with underfloor heating. The other bedrooms rest on the top floor and include a single and twin bedded, ideal for the younger members of the group, along with a luxurious bathroom with free-standing bath – perfect for a relaxing soak at end of your day. A small postage stamp garden/terrace rests to the front of the house and is suitable for outdoor eating at the picnic bench or stroll into Ambleside to find a range of eateries, as well as small supermarkets for picking up any essentials. Keen walkers can enjoy rambling around Queen’s Park, climbing Queen Adelaide’s Hill and walking the 3.5-mile route from Windermere to Orrest Head, where you can enjoy breathtaking views of Lake Windermere from the summit. This holiday home is also within distance of The World of Beatrix Potter, a popular children’s attraction which showcases the author’s tales in an interactive guided tour, plus there is Dove Cottage in Grasmere to visit – the former family home of William Wordsworth where he wrote the majority of his much-loved poems.
