This recently renovated, semi-detached cottage is close to the coast in the popular village of Seahouses, within the Northumberland Coast AONB. Enjoy a stroll around the idyllic harbour, and hop on a boat out to the Farne Islands, ideal for wildlife lovers, where you can observe birds and seal colonies. Walkers can join the coastal path in either direction to further explore the picturesque coastline; head north to discover miles of magnificent sandy beaches, as well as the village of Bamburgh, which is known for its hilltop castle, overlooking the sea, along with its lighthouse, museums and golf club, while heading south along the coast will take you to the fishing village of Craster, with its lovely family-friendly beach and nearby attraction of the 14th century Dunstanburgh Castle, owned by the National Trust. The market town of Alnwick is slightly further afield but well worth visiting, with its recognisable castle, used as the setting of Hogwarts in the Harry Potter film series, surrounded by magnificent gardens that visitors are welcome to explore. The picturesque countryside of the Northumberland National Park is a short drive away, offering magnificent walking and cycling trails through rolling hills, heather-clad moorland and enchanting forest, and at night offers truly incredible stargazing opportunities, with its Dark Skies status. Hazonleigh is a wonderful base for discovering the coast and countryside of Northumberland.
