Halifax, with its impressive Piece Hall, which hosts open air concerts, Shibden Hall (made famous in TV series “Gentleman Jack”) and historic architecture, makes for a great day out too. FYI the Piece Hall hosts a series of 20/30 concerts each year attracting 5000 people at weekends during July and August with artists such as Embrace, Billy Ocean, Simple Minds etc. Not sure if you want to include this in the description but all local hotels are full over this period so a useful marketing tool.
