Hill Cottage is in a lovely part of Ambleside perched above the town looking over the lake and surrounding fells. This lovely cottage feels so homely from the moment you see the pillar box red front door.
On the ground floor the spacious open plan living dining area, complete with flat screen TV, super comfy sofas, oak furniture and solid wood floors gives a really sociable space. The kitchen is equipped with everything you need including a large fridge/freezer and designed to high standard fitted with granite tops and a little breakfast bar. The Master bedroom has an en-suite bathroom, and the second double bedroom and the little single room share a family bathroom with large shower. The top floor has excellent views of the surrounding fells and the rooms are light and bright. Beautiful throws and bedding feature in each room. Outside at the back there is a lovely little sunroom overlooking the back garden. At the front there is a lovely elevated terrace with table and chairs and fantastic views out to the fells.
With easy access onto Wansfell and Ambleside a 5-minute walk you are perfectly positioned to get adventurous or enjoy one of the many great restaurants, bars or cafés. Ambleside is a prime location for a break in the heart of the Lake District. Stunningly located on the northern shores of Lake Windermere, England’s largest lake, Ambleside is set against a breathtaking backdrop of dramatic mountains and Lakeland Fells. The village centre is fully of quirky shops, galleries, cafes and cosy pubs. You’ll find some fine dining here too, a jazz bar and 2 cinemas. Whether cruising on Lake Windermere from Ambleside’s Waterhead Pier, whiling away lazy days in the village centre, or touring the surrounding area by car, by bus, boat or on foot; you’ll enjoy a constant backdrop of some of the UK’s most stunning scenery.
