Upstairs in the cottage are two elegantly furnished bedrooms, one king-size bedroom with en-suite bathroom and a twin bedroom. On the ground floor this property has a wet room with a walk-in shower, basin and WC. Also on the ground floor is a cosy sitting room with a woodburning stove, a perfect country kitchen with Falcon Range cooker and dining table. Outside there are plenty of places to enjoy the garden with steps leading up to a lawned area and patio. Just a short walk down the hill, (longer on the way back up!) takes you to the village centre where there is a super local pub serving excellent food and ales. The “auld grey town of Kendal” is just 5 miles away and the tip of Lake Windermere is approx. 13 miles where you can visit the Aquarium of the Lakes or hop on board the Windermere Steamer and cruise up the lake to Bowness or Ambleside. The great attraction of this lovely cottage is the excellent walking in the Southern Lakes, fantastic local pubs and lots of interesting villages such as Cartmel to visit.
