A delightful semi-detached Cotswold stone cottage ideally located less than five minutes’ walk from the centre of the market town of Stow-on-the-Wold. Comfortably furnished throughout with the owners’ personal touches, this lovely Stow-on-the-Wold cottage makes a perfect base for a couple on a romantic break or a group of friends, in a beautiful part of the country. This superb Stow-on-the-Wold cottage has two light and bright bedrooms with comfortable and generously-sized beds. There is a very well-equipped kitchen in this Stow-on-the-Wold cottage. The main room has a gas fire in the sitting area, with a dining table and chairs on the other side of the room. There is also a garden room with woodburning stove and doors that open onto a private secluded courtyard, an ideal place to sit and relax whilst enjoying the delights of alfresco dining. Just a couple of minutes’ walk away is the centre of Stow-on-the-Wold, with its vast Market Square with an ancient cross, town stocks and an elegant array of town houses, unique shops, tea rooms and traditional pubs. Time your visit right to attend one of the many events held within the town, including Gypsy Horse Fairs (dating back to 1476), craft fairs and monthly farmers’ markets The Horse Fairs are held on the Thursday closest to 12th May and the Thursday closest to 24th October Stow is busy on these days and for and day or two before and after; some shops, pubs and restaurants will be closed. A few minutes away by car is a selection of the Cotswolds’ unspoilt towns and villages, including Moreton-in-Marsh, Broadway, Chipping Campden and Chipping Norton, along with the gardens of Hidcote Manor and Kiftsgate and much else. The spa town of Cheltenham, along with Oxford, Stratford-upon-Avon, Bath, Worcester and Gloucester are all within driving distance. A wonderful Cotswolds cottage in an idyllic location.
