As you step through the door of this traditional mid-terrace cottage, you enter the warm and comfortable living room with its wood burning stove and cosy leather sofas. It’s the ideal place to kick back and relax on a chilly evening with a glass of wine or a local craft beer. The fully-equipped kitchen is light and airy and has access to the patio garden. Upstairs are two pretty bedrooms, one double and one twin room, which share the family bathroom with bathtub, overhead shower, WC and wash basin.
The lovely patio garden is a real sun trap, ideal for relaxing and dining on those balmy summer evenings. It’s fully enclosed making it ideal for children and dogs. There’s a parking permit for one car but with all the amenities and public transport on the doorstep you’ll be able to leave the car at home as you explore Windermere and nearby Bowness.
Lake Windermere with its famous steamers is at the very heart of the Lake District and it’s just minutes from Lamb Cottage. There are plenty of family activities including Go Ape and the Kong indoor adventure centre, and adults will enjoy a trip to romantic Lake Ullswater and perhaps a meal at the world famous Sharrow Bay Hotel, home of the sticky toffee pudding. Day trips to Morecambe Bay, Hadrian’s Wall and historic Carlisle are just some of the sights you can see with ease from your base at Lamb Cottage.
