Grasmere itself has many little bistros and pubs, and interesting shops/galleries to wander around as well as stunning walks all around and up to Loughrigg Fell. “The fairest spot and earth” was how William Wordsworth described Grasmere 200 years ago and today this pretty village, remains one of the most delightful parts of the Lake District. ‘Lanterns’ is a great location and a comfortable contemporary place to stay.
