If you can steal yourself away from this idyllic scene, the pubs, tea rooms and shops in the village centre are just a few minutes stroll. You can leave your door and minutes later be on the tranquil sandy beach and perhaps walk two miles to the bohemian and vibrant spa town of Saltburn-by-the-Sea with its historic pier and cliff railway. It would be easy to think you are in a remote location, but it is a very convenient base to explore the true delights of the North York Moors villages and seaside resorts such as Whitby. Something here for every age group whatever the season.
