Ledrishmore View is a welcoming house set near Balloch, West Dunbartonshire, within the scenic surroundings of Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park. Boasting partial ground-floor living, a bubbling hot tub and welcome pets, it is well-suited to families and groups of friends looking to explore this striking part of Scotland. Parking is available close by, where countryside views stretch out from the hillside and set the tone for a stay surrounded by open landscapes. From the parking area, the path leads to the front door and into the entrance hall, where coats and hats are hung away after days outdoors, leaving space to step inside and settle in. The living and dining room opens up as a sociable space for gathering, with a large wall-mounted TV ready for relaxed evenings, a corner sofa and an additional sofa with a footstool inviting you to put your feet up, and a generous dining table positioned to one side of the room, ideal for shared meals, board games, or lingering breakfasts. The kitchen sits close by, with a small breakfast table that becomes a natural spot for early morning coffee while plans for the day take shape, or a quiet pause before heading out to explore. Everything flows easily, making time spent cooking and preparing meals feel part of the holiday rather than a task. Also on the ground floor is the shower room, offering a convenient place to freshen up after time outdoors, along with a ground-floor double bedroom that works well for guests who prefer to stay on one level. Upstairs, the bedrooms are set beneath the roofline, with Velux windows bringing in natural light throughout the day. A double bedroom offers useful storage, keeping the space clear and easy to use. The twin bedroom includes its own en-suite shower room and a dressing table, giving it a sense of independence within the house. The king-size bedroom provides a generous retreat, with Velux windows, an en-suite shower room, and a dressing table that makes mornings feel unhurried. Outside, the garden unfolds in stages. A paved stone patio offers a spot to step out with a drink, before a short set of steps leads up to an enclosed area designed for outdoor living. Here, a corner sofa and bar seating create a social space for lingering evenings, while a picnic bench and barbecue invite relaxed meals outdoors. Beyond the enclosure, there is access to a communal grassy area at the back, ideal for stretching legs and letting dogs enjoy a gentle walk at the start or end of the day. A local shop and pub are within easy reach in Balloch, the gateway to the National Park, making it simple to pick up supplies or enjoy a meal out. Loch Lomond offers days spent walking along the water’s edge, watching light shift across the loch, and taking boat trips that glide past wooded shores and distant hills. Balloch Castle Country Park provides a slower pace, with historic parkland, winding paths through mature trees, and wide lawns opening out to views across the loch. Further afield, Glasgow makes an engaging contrast, where galleries and museums invite lingering visits, shopping streets buzz with energy, and cafés provide places to pause before returning to the quieter rhythms of the countryside. Ledrishmore View is a relaxed base for shared holidays, scenic walks, and time well spent together near Balloch.
