This delightful, self-contained property, set in the grounds of the owner’s home, rests on the outskirts of the historic village of Cawood, just 5 miles away from the thriving market town of Selby and 10 miles from York. The cottage has been furnished in a contemporary fashion to provide quality accommodation in a rural location. The cottage offers quality excellent facilities, including an open-plan living area with french patio doors onto the patio and garden windows, creating a bright and airy feel. Outside there is an enclosed garden, great for dining alfresco or for guests with a dog. The small village of Cawood offers a selection of lovely pubs, whilst only 5 miles away, for those interested in history, is the superb medieval abbey at Selby, famous as the birthplace of English kings and home to stunning stained glass windows. There are many more attractions in nearby York which is within easy reach of the cottage, including the York Designer Outlet, for a spot of retail therapy, whilst the fabulous city of York itself, home to the Minster, the Shambles and the famous National Railway Museum aren’t to be missed. A superb base to explore the delights Yorkshire has to offer.
