    More Information

Nestled in the pretty village of Castleton, with stunning views across the surrounding hills, is this superb stone annexe. Little Bargate offers a taste of countryside life with its lovely rural location and quiet roads. The kitchen is wonderfully-appointed to the front of the cottage, housing all the appliances you could need for a weekend in the countryside. Gather in the dining room and make use of the large table for your romantic, home-cooked meals, or to plan the day’s events. The lounge offers a welcoming space for couples to curl up together and catch up on your favourite shows with the provided TV, while the gas fire keeps you warm during those chilly evenings. Upstairs offers a well-presented king-size bedroom, boasting an en-suite bathroom with a bath and walk-in shower, so you can decide how best to prepare for your day. Take a relaxing soak of an evening to wash away those tired muscles, or a quick shower of a morning before starting your day. To the rear of the cottage is a multi-level patio area, where you can sit with a refreshing beverage and enjoy the wonderful country views. Castleton is ideally placed for exploring the picturesque Peak District location. Built by Henry II on a hilltop, Peveril Castle, is a ruined 11th century Norman castle overlooking the village, with a delightful picnic area and tons of history to discover inside. Venture towards Peak Cavern, which is the UK’s largest cave entrance with guided tours through a network of caves and unusual rock formations – so much to discover inside. For those keen walkers and cyclists, venture towards Mam Tor, a landmark hill which is a popular hiking spot and is known for its striking valley views. Castleton Museum offers a look into the areas historical roots. Little Bargate is the perfect choice for a romantic retreat to the heart of the Peak District National Park.
