Kingsbridge Estuary is an excellent choice for boat rides with stunning views, and is also home to a number of underwater creatures, such as crabs and seahorses. Close to the beautiful South Devon AONB spanning across 60 miles of magnificent coastline and hugely popular for walking and cycling opportunities. Slapton Sands and the nature reserve of Slapton Ley are a short drive. Further afield is the seaside town of Salcombe, where you can visit the Salcombe North Sands beach for a family day out, or sample some of its traditional pubs and restaurants for that fine dining experience. Just a few miles from Salcombe is the wonderful Edwardian house and landscaped gardens at Overbeck’s. Travel towards the thriving coastal town of Dartmouth which offers a range of popular tourist attractions including the 14th century Dartmouth Castle and Blackpool Sands beach, perfect for a family day out playing a variety of beach games.
