Fishguard boasts a small theatre/cinema, sports centre with swimming pool, a selection of local, independent shops, as well as high street names and holds a weekly Farmers’ Market in the Town Hall. It’s a level 500 yard walk to the shops. Just down the hill from the cottage is picturesque Lower Town, where local fishermen land their catches. Also nearby is the Pembrokeshire Coast Path, offering 186 miles of spectacular walking.
Locally, guests can enjoy kayaking, sailing, fishing, horse riding and golf. Nearby Strumble Head is famous for birdwatching and spotting seals, dolphins, porpoises and sharks.
Daily ferry departures from Fishguard Harbour make a day trip to Ireland a possibility.
