There are three steps up to the entrance where there is a convenient hallway for settling down your personal belongings, which leads into the spacious open-plan living area with patio doors opening out to the veranda, making a great spot for alfresco dining in the summer months. The sitting area offers plush sofas and an accompanying footstool, positioned in front of the freestanding TV with a DVD player, perfect for your relaxing evenings indoors. The well-equipped kitchen with a dining area is perfectly ideal for a group of four, offering sleek, black and white units bringing a sense of class to the room, alongside the rustic wooden table. The lodge offers two bedrooms, including a master king-size with its own en-suite facilities, along with a charming twin room, perfectly suited to the little ones or two friends. Outside this lovely lodge is a decked area with furniture where you can sit and relax with a good book or take in the super view whilst enjoying a refreshing drink. There are some enjoyable walks near the lodge, including a climb to the top of Brentor, a favourite with visitors for its rewarding views. Tavistock has a good range of shops and some renowned restaurants and pubs, while the slopes of Dartmoor nudge the town, making the area very popular with avid amblers for a rewarding pint following an afternoon ramble. National Route 27 of the National Cycle Network is just 3 miles away at Tavistock, taking you mainly off-road all the way to Okehampton station, with some spectacular views along the way. With National Trust properties, outstanding gardens in the area, a choice of six golf courses within just a scenic car journey and sandy beaches too, Lodge 11 is the ideal base for exploring this beautiful part of Devon.
