After a good night’s rest, venture out to explore the local town of Porthleven; take a stroll along the stunning harbour and enjoy views of the crystal-blue marina as you make your way to the Harbour Inn pub for a delicious meal. Stop by Ann’s Pasties & Bar to pick up some famous Cornish pasties, then head back home to put on your swimming costume and walk over to Porthleven Beach for a relaxing day out. A short drive will take you to the lovely town of Helston where you’ll have a picnic at Coronation Park and watch the swans float across the lake, visit the Cornish Seal Sanctuary, a seal and sea lion rescue centre with a collection of otters, penguins, ponies and goats, and if you’re travelling with children why not have a family day out at Flambards Theme Park? Further afield you’ll find the beautiful coastal town of Marazion where shopaholics will find a plethora of independent boutiques in the town centre, drive or sail up the causeway to the famous St. Michael’s Mount and visit the inside of the medieval castle, its sub-tropical gardens and sweeping sea views, then end the day with a family dinner at the beachside Shutters at The Godolphin.
