Built in 1940, and completely refurbished in 2021, this spacious detached house sits on an unmade road that leads to National Trust woodland and Roman Camp – the highest point in Norfolk affording wonderful views at the upper end of the village of West Runton. Fronted by tall pine trees and a heather garden, Low Wood is elegantly curated with an array of interesting, original artworks and eclectic interior design that complements rustic wooden floors, original doors and beamed ceilings. Entered via a grand reception hall, the ground floor features a spacious sitting room with ample comfortable seating, ambient lighting settings, and a Smart television with in-ceiling Sonos sound system. A charming library/ snug/ work space filled with relaxed seating and a wood burning stove is the ideal place to delve into the selection of board games and library of books. Invite the outdoors in via french doors leading to an exterior patio. The superbly well-equipped kitchen boasts a Bosch double oven, induction hob, fridge/ freezer, dishwasher, microwave and cafetière. A contemporary breakfast area provides seating for six guests, with doors opening to a second smaller patio. An adjoining formal dining room features Sonos in-ceiling sound system to entertain up to six guests around a circular table. A utility/ boot room with a door to the front garden and parking, and a downstairs cloakroom providing a shower for sandy dogs, complete this floor. From the reception hall, stairs lead up to three first floor bedrooms. The sumptuous master bedroom hosts am extra long king-size zip and link bed, that can be made into twin bed upon request, and is served by a magnificent en-suite shower room. These bedrooms are served by a spacious family bathroom boasting luxurious Villeroy & Boch bath and a bidet. Outside, the mature verdant garden at the back of the house is a haven for wildlife, frequently visited by muntjac deer, foxes, rabbits and badgers. Two delightful patio areas offer inviting garden furniture, with one area featuring an accompanying charcoal barbecue, perfect for al fresco dining on sunny Norfolk days.
