When bedtime calls make your way to either of the bedrooms; a double and a king-size which is particularly impressive with French doors opening onto a magnificent terrace which offers especially glorious views. You can imagine relaxing on the balcony in the evening watching the sun going down and then waking up in the morning and maybe having breakfast on the balcony, soaking up the Dorset sun and planning your day’s activities. The outside space is a delight here and many happy hours will be spent in the gardens here enjoying time alfresco with the children. Gardens feature a patio and lawn to the south side with coastline views and seating. Lyme Regis is just a short walk away with shops, boutiques, bars and restaurants as well as a harbour, causeway and beach as well as a fascinating museum and aquarium. If you fancy a day out and a drive with rewarding views along the way then check out Abbotsbury Subtropical Gardens, Portland Castle and Lighthouse, the Broadwindsor Craft and Design Centre and the Heritage Coast Centre at Charmouth. There are some wonderful towns which are well worth a visit too including Dorchester, Sidmouth, Branscombe, Weymouth and Bournemouth. Maries offers guests a holiday with character.
