Staithes 2.5 miles. Nestled within the North Yorkshire village of Runswick Bay, near Staithes, is this lovely, two-bedroom lodge, Marigold Lodge, well-positioned for exploring both the coastline and the North York Moors National Park. Inviting four guests to enjoy a tranquil base, the lodge is complete with two stylish bedrooms, an open-plan living space, and a luxurious hot tub, offering all the essentials for a relaxing break. The open-plan living space features a well-equipped kitchen, dining for four guests, and a lovely sitting area, complete with a delightful electric fire, perfect for setting a warm ambience. Venture through the French doors to reach the private decked area, made for alfresco dining and peaceful mornings with a coffee in hand. Use this space to stargaze and while the night away from the indulgent hot tub, ahead of catching some rest from either the king-size or twin bedrooms. Spend your morning along Runswick Bay Beach for some fresh sea air, followed by a few hours of swimming, paddleboarding and kayaking, ahead of some brunch at a local café. For further amenities, head to Staithes, where you’ll find a hub of convenience stores, takeaways, restaurants, taverns, tea rooms, and fish and chip shops. Take in the stunning coastal views across the region by following the 109-mile-long Cleveland Way trail, leading you north towards the national park, travelling through many lovely coastal communities. Be sure to tour Whitby for a day of fun, where you can tour the gothic remains of Whitby Abbey, shop at a host of independent stores, dine out, and visit the Captain Cook Museum, plus much more.
