This magnificent holiday property, which spans three storeys is located just below Whitby Abbey on the quaint “Donkey Track,” which runs alongside to the renowned 199 Steps. Ideal for a family celebration or a luxurious stay with friends. A returning mariner built this double-fronted brick villa at the turn of the 20th century, and it is perfect all year round thanks to its well-appointed interior with an inviting wood burning stove, triple-aspect garden, and covered hot tub area. After a day of experiencng this famous location, you and your loved ones are invited to unwind in the tastefully appointed living spaces inside. Before heading to the dining room to eat and make plans for another exciting day, have the group’s chef whip up a sumptuous supper. After this, gather in the living room and cuddle up as the wood burning stove flickers. A handy en-suite for added privacy is available in one of the five excellent bedrooms, while the other four are serviced by a bathroom and a ground-floor shower room. Enjoy a cup of coffee while enjoying the view in the sun room when you first wake up, or perhaps head outside to the hot tub in the garden for a relaxing soak. The garden, which has views to the north, south, and west, is another eye-catching feature of this house. The west offers a more private spot away from the track and is ideal for catching the last of the evening sun with a glass of wine. There are many things to do when it’s time to go outside, such as spending the day relaxing on Whitby Beach’s soft sands, visiting the Whitby and Captain Cook Museums, and tasting local beers at the Whitby Brewery. Culture vultures may fill their days with activities like seeing a performance at the Whitby Pavilion, exploring the majestic Whitby Abbey, eating seafood at The Marine Bar & Restaurant, or even going on a whale-watching excursion. If you want to leave the town you could walk along the Cleveland Way or consider going to Robin Hood’s Bay, where you can check out the National Trust Old Coastguard Station, tour the Robin Hood’s Bay Museum, have a bite to eat at The Cove, stroll down the beach at low tide to Boggle Hole, and more. A little further away, in the well-known town of Scarborough, visitors may enjoy attractions including Alpamare and Luna Park, Scarborough Castle, the SEA LIFE centre, and the Scarborough Open Air Theatre.
