Ashbourne 2.1 miles. Tucked away in the idyllic village of Mayfield near Ashbourne, Staffordshire, is this fantastic three-bedroom house, Meadow View. Named after the charming views on offer from the property and making up half of the former village pub, Meadow View is a superb dwelling for a group or family of six. Look forward to cooking up a storm in the well-equipped kitchen/diner, ready to savour at the dining table for six, or alfresco out in the rear enclosed garden as you soak up the last of the day’s sun. After dinner, retreat to the light and airy sitting room, where you can curl up on the plush seating and select your favourite series from the TV, as the electric fire gently warms the space. Continue upstairs to the first floor to find a well-appointed bathroom where you can freshen up with a soak or rinse after a day of exploring, along with two beautifully decorated bedrooms, a king-size with TV and a twin with views of the meadows. The second floor hosts the final bedroom, a spacious double with Velux windows, affording lovely views and natural light. Explore the village, where you can treat your loved ones to a well-deserved meal at the Royal Oak Inn, followed by a leisurely stroll along the River Dove.
