Further afield, why not take a day trip into the Yorkshire Dales and explore the White Scar Caves at Ingleton and then pop over to Hawes for afternoon tea? The apartment also makes an excellent base for those wishing to explore the magnificent Lake District National Park, with the ever-popular towns of Ambleside and Bowness-on-Windermere, both situated on the shores of Lake Windermere, accessed within a 40 minute drive.
