There are regular trains from West Kirby railway station to Liverpool and Chester and buses to most other parts of the Wirral run from the station, which is a ten-minute walk from the house.
The beach at West Kirby is a short walk along the promenade, beach towels are provided. Bikes can be hired from Bikes and Boards on Banks Road, a two minute walk from the house and various water sport activities on the Marine Lake are available to book via Wirral Watersports Centre.
