Shop 4 miles, pub 1.5 miles and is up hill on return to the property. Seasonal shop on caravan site 2.5 miles. Note: There are two steps down to access the property and one step up into the bedroom. Note: The property is accessed via rural lanes that are narrow, with degraded and potholed surfaces in places. Please note: Dogs are not allowed in the bedrooms and the enclosed garden fence is not secure for determined dogs that attempt to escape, Please note there is no smoking allowed at all on the entirety of the property, this is due to the amount of straw and hay in the area and to avoid any fire risks, if you would like to smoke, it will take you about 15 minutes to walk off the grounds. In a secluded location, surrounded by nature and with magnificent views of Dartmoor, this cosy barn is ideal for a peaceful getaway and is close to excellent walking routes.

You enter the property into a sociable open plan living area with tiled floor and a well-equipped compact kitchen with everything you need to rustle up a delicious meal to be shared around the dining table.

The 2 seater sofa is a comfortable place to snuggle up together and enjoy watching a film or to sit quietly and enjoy the views from the lounge window over the back garden and out across the Dartmoor National Park.

One step up leads into the excellently appointed double bedroom with a lovely en-suite shower room.

On sunny days enjoy dining alfresco on the patio outside or wander down to the fence at the end of the garden to soak up those glorious 180 degree countryside views.

This property has direct access to Dartmoor, without the need to cross any roads and is a walker’s and a dog lover’s paradise. One of Dartmoor’s famous tors is just a ten-minute walk away and guests can explore Bronze Age settlements and ancient standing stones.

Nearby, Tavistock has a good range of shops and some renowned restaurants and pubs.

With National Trust properties and outstanding gardens in the area, along with sandy beaches within an hour’s drive, this delightful barn is the ideal base to get away from it all and for exploring this stunning and wild part of Devon.
