A cosy mid-terrace cottage, formerly homes for the local bobbin mill-workers, located in the sleepy village of Spark Bridge, just 5.5 miles from Ulverston. This comfy cottage enjoys views across the river to the rear, and is just ten minutes drive from Coniston Water on the boundary of the beautiful Lake District National Park. Just a short walk takes you to the village pub and benches on the village green alongside the River Crake, while two miles up the road in Greenodd you will find a couple more pubs, a bakery, a butcher’s shop, a fish and chip shop and a convenience store. Being ideally situated on the edge of the Lake District, there are lots of beautiful areas to explore, including the quaint Lakeland village of Hawkshead, which is just 20 minutes drive away, whilst from the cottage itself you can step out and enjoy numerous paths and bridleways running through spectacular countryside. For a fun-filled family day, why not pop over to the Haverthwaite and Lakeside Steam Railway, and embark on a steam train to Lakeside, before joining the Windermere Steamer for a cruise up the most famous lake in the district?
