Located at the end of a private drive, amidst rolling green countryside, Old Purves Hall really is a magnificent blend of 16th century character and exquisite modern interiors. Perfect for a special occasion gathering of family and friends, where everyone can enjoy the generous accommodation and wonderful outdoor areas including three acres of woodland to explore. Enter via the modern, cedar clad extension, complete with plenty of space for your wellies and outdoor togs; and toasty underfloor heating which your dogs will adore drying off in after woodland adventures. Then step through the impressive, studded oak doors (originally used to lock up the prisoners in the Edinburgh Jail!) through to the inviting hallway, which guides you through to the fabulous, professional standard kitchen with its central island, five-burner hob, double-oven range cooker, two dishwashers, and long dining table; the perfect entertaining space, where your complimentary champagne will be chilling in the fridge. From the dining room, the charming walled garden can be easily accessed via a glazed door. After dinner, wander through to the beautiful, oak beamed drawing room with feature inglenook fireplace with a contemporary wood burning stove at one end; and a cosy open fire at the other, along with ample comfy seating for after dinner coffee and chat. Climb the stunning, spiral staircase to the first floor where three of the six large and luxurious bedrooms will provide the perfect night's sleep. Further up the staircase, on the second floor, the sitting room beckons you to flop into the sheep skin bean bags and cosy up in front of the wood burning stove. The three remaining bedrooms are located on the second floor also. All six bedrooms are filled with light and characterful features; dressed in the most sumptuous of linens and beautifully furnished. The four bath/shower rooms will not disappoint either, all spacious, light and bright, with the master en-suite bathroom stealing the show. The entire property has been expertly designed and furnished to create a very special holiday home. Touches of period detail abound and guests’ comfort has been considered at every turn, with tasteful fabrics and artworks throughout the property, you won't want to leave! Outside, the adventure continues with a delightful walled garden boasting a fire pit and gas barbecue, along with a converted stable that now functions as a games room; if you have teenagers in your group, you may not see much of them! With three acres of woodland to explore, you could spend a day or two without stepping off the grounds, however, there are plenty of landmarks and attractions in the nearby vicinity to tempt you, including country pursuits including excellent hunting and fishing; as well as exploring the spectacular heritage coast. One final selling point, for that special occasion, the owners can arrange a private cook, on request and in advance, and can also arrange a wine delivery to your door. Additional Information: Three well behaved dogs are welcome at Old Purves Hall but must be kept to the boot room until clean and dry (an outside tap is available).
