Resting at the heart of the harbour town of Watchet, Somerset which backs onto the pebble beach, lies this charming, two-bedroom holiday home, Oyster Catchers. You will be able to hear the waves crashing from your bedroom and in the morning you can take your coffee out into the outdoor beach hut, where you can soak up calming sea views, a great way to start any day. When ready, take time to explore your local surroundings by walking to the Watchet Boat Museum, or the East Quay arts centre which also has a cafe , take a leisurely stroll along the Beach, or spend the afternoon getting up close and personal with exotic animals at the Tropiquaria Wildlife Park. You can walk along the beach to Blue Anchor where there is a nice cafe or carry on to Dunster, enjoying the views across the channel towards Wales, and wander through the medieval streets of Dunster with the beautiful castle towering above, If you get tired, why not take the steam train back again. A short drive west along the coast will bring you to Minehead, where the tranquil grounds of Blenheim Gardens await, as do the lush, golden sands of Minehead Beach. Whilst you’re in the region, why not stop by the National Trust landmark of Dunster Castle and Watermill, or perhaps take an exhilarating bike ride through the stunning scenery of the Dunkery & Horner Wood National Nature Reserve.
