    More Information

A detached former farmhouse once forming part of the Chirk Castle estate, located in a secluded spot just above the market town of Llangollen, enjoying far reaching views and open countryside. Perfect for families or friends wishing to escape from it all, this isolated retreat is something special, oozing with character and charm from start to finish. Enter the accommodation via the porch, where you will arrive at a farmhouse kitchen/diner, which brings a sense of the countryside indoors. Whether preparing your favourite meals or dining with your loved ones, this is a homely place to unwind in comfort. Two sitting rooms rest on the ground floor, the first comes as a cosy snug with a selection of seating, whilst the second boasts an enchanting dining area, joined by an L-shaped sofa and exposed beams. Wherever you choose to relax, simply sit back and enjoy the warmth from the woodburning stove, tucked away beneath exposed stonework and antique furniture. Cosy up in the one-of-a-kind, en-suite double bedroom come night time, or choose between the two first floor doubles, elevated by a front-facing or south-facing view. The same sense of quirkiness continues to the twin set-up, and a family bathroom ties this all together in a quality fashion. If you can steer yourself away from the interior, make the most of the hillside, rural walks, and acres of scenery located directly on your doorstep. Within a mile walk of the National Trust Chirk Castle and grounds, 2 miles to Llangollen town centre to look around the many shops set next to the River Dee.The Llangollen steam railway, the horseshoe waterfalls and Castell Dinas BrĂ¢n are all local attractions worth visiting. The world heritage site of the Pontcysyllte aqueduct is also within close reach. Snowdonia National Park is less than 30miles away, where you can enjoy lots of scenic walks, and is perfect for a day out with the family. The Roman walled city of Chester is less than a 30 minute drive, where you can visit the Cathedral.
A part of Wales not to be missed.
