Pant y Cwtsh is a charming annex that is attached to the owner’s home, close to the town of Kidwelly in the southwest, and is set over two floors and is a wonderful place for couples and/or friends, as they explore this beautiful part of Carmarthenshire. Step into a small entrance hall where you can leave your boots and jackets before continuing through to the open-plan living space, equipped with all the essentials for a short break, including a combi microwave/oven, 2-ring hob and a fridge. Reward yourself with a local takeaway or rustle up a hearty feast to serve at the dining table; afterwards enjoy a movie on the Smart TV. As the evening comes to a close, whisk yourself upstairs to the bedroom, boasting a generous super-king-size bed which can be arranged as a twin on request, and serviced by a gleaming en-suite shower room where you can prepare for the day. The bedrooms benefit from amazing countryside views, so be sure to enjoy a cup of tea at the window in the morning sunshine. Book a table at the Red Lion, boasting a friendly atmosphere and traditional menu, ideal if you fancy a night off cooking! Not far from Kidwelly, is The Ffos Las racecourse a Welsh horse racing, equestrian sports and conferencing venue, which is a popular attraction. The Ffos Las racecourse was built at the site of an open cast coal mine after mining operations ceased. Those seeking a bit of scenery, head to Pembrey Country Park, boasting 500 acres of park and woodland with an array of outdoor pursuits, such as horse riding, laser tag, golf, skiing and much more, plus the sandy beach of Cefn Sidan is a peaceful spot for sunbathing and swimming. There is also the colourful town of Tenby to explore, where you can enjoy another sandy beach and bustling harbour, or for keen walkers, trail along the South West Coastal Path.
