Quaint village shop offers essentials during daytime hours and the local tearoom also does fabulous breakfast, lunches and afternoon tea. Park Cottage is the ideal base for exploring the scenic Peak District with easy access to local attractions.Nearby are Gulliver’s Kingdom plus Chatsworth Farmyard and Adventure Playground. Also nearby are Heights of Abraham which has a cable car and Carsington Water Reservoir with lovely walks and children’s play area. Cyclists, golfers, anglers and walking groups are also welcome with the Limestone Way long distance footpath also nearby. Golf or fishing equipment can be stored inside the property and the rear garden can of course be used to store bikes. Sorry, no smoking. Head over to Matlock Bath, where you can catch an alpine-style cable car at The Heights of Abraham, which offers cavern tours and a fossil museum, treat the little ones to an aquarium trip with arcades, delve into history at the Peak District Mining Museum or enjoy a memorable fun-filled family day at Gulliver’s Kingdom. Continue down to Wirksworth where you can treat the family to a film at the quirky independent cinema, learn more about the village at the heritage centre or explore the Puzzle Gardens.
