This divine and cosy Cornish cottage is located within minutes of golden Portreath Beach and the north Atlantic coastline. Nuzzled amongst an attractive terrace of homestays at the foot of the cliff, this cheery and welcoming retreat ticks all the boxes for a coastal escape for family, friends and couples seeking both recreation and relaxation. Pebble Cottage boasts a fusion of contemporary and character accommodation with two attractive bedrooms and two shower rooms, the double has an en-suite. Both bedrooms are comfortable and have ample storage, whilst the cosy sitting room with beamed ceiling houses a delightful wood burner, making it a restful spot, leading into the modern kitchen. The ground-floor shower room is perfectly placed after a day of sun, sea and sand, while the spacious sun room doubles as the dining room, overlooking the pretty garden of patio and pebbles, with summerhouse for secure storage of surf gear and cycles. A safe space for children and pets to play, it’s also an ideal spot for blue sky feasts, coffees and an evening glass of wine. Popular Portreath has shops for provisions, cafés, a deli, coffee hideouts and inns – this little resort has a chirpy vibe and the sandy beach with dinky harbour is well-loved, with a stream running across the sands and excellent surf for body boarders. Scenic rambles are guaranteed from atop the South West Coast Path which showcases magical seascapes. Walk to Bassets Cove (five miles there and back) or head northbound to lively Porthtowan, a four-mile stroll through beautiful scenery. Once there, reward yourself with refreshment in the Blue Bar café and restaurant, tucked aside the dunes with big ocean vista. The stunning country park at Tehidy boasts miles of cycle/bridle path nature trails for exploration. Discover St Agnes and Trevaunance Cove, Perranporth, Newquay and Watergate Bay, all reached within a short car journey. The north Atlantic coastline is a hot spot destination, making for a wonderful holiday all-year-round.
