Situated on the outskirts of the pretty village of Youlgreave, with easy access to the thriving market town of Bakewell, this country cottage offers a wonderful base for exploring all this National Park has to offer. The open-plan kitchen is wonderfully appointed at the front of the cottage, with a convenient dining area where you can enjoy a lovely home-cooked meal with your loved ones, prepared in the well-equipped kitchen. Walk through to the sitting room with a range of seating and a double-sided woodburner, which provides heat for the adjacent conservatory room. Choose one of these two lounge areas to catch up on all your favourite shows or use it as a quiet space to read a good book. Follow the steps up to the first floor, which boasts three large bedrooms – two doubles and one twin – ideal for families or a group of friends. The family bathroom offers an elegant corner bath and a walk-in shower, so you can decide how best to prepare for your day, or take a relaxing soak of an evening after a day of sightseeing. Continuing to impress, the rear garden is an enclosed space, with lawn and patio areas with furniture, so you can sit out and enjoy the afternoon sun with a refreshing glass of wine or a lovely soak in the hot tub after a long day exploring. While you’re in the area, take a drive towards the market town of Bakewell to discover all manner of historical attractions nearby. Chatsworth House is a 16th-century stately home, with stunning landscaped gardens, a playground and a farmyard, plus an extensive art collection inside.
