Offering a welcoming base for families and friends looking to explore this scenic area, this well-appointed retreat provides a great setting for groups eager to enjoy nearby amenities and venture towards the majestic Cairngorms National Park.

Parking your car in one of the designated spaces, you step into the charm of this wonderful traditional cottage. Once through the side gate next to the parking spaces, you enter the forecourt leading to the back door. This is where the key box is located. Entering the kitchen, you can hang up coats and ease off your shoes. The kitchen is newly fitted with marble-style worktops giving the space a fresh, polished look. As you open cupboards, and begin to prepare a meal, you can picture breakfasts laid out or simple suppers simmering on the hob while conversation easily flows. Carry your dishes through to the French-styled Dining Room, where the table becomes the gathering point for shared meals, board games or conversations stretching into the evening. The hallway leads you to the Sitting Room, where a sofa and TV invite you to settle in for a quiet evening with friends or family. Soft touches and warm tones help you relax as you sink into the seating, perhaps flicking through the channels or planning the evening’s exploration of the nearby bars and restaurants. Heading upstairs, you reach the double bedroom first, where pretty wallpaper brings character to the space. The remaining bedrooms follow the same inviting style, offering calm places to unpack, unwind and settle in for the night. Continue upwards to the top floor, where the shower room offers a refreshing start to the day, complete with a walk-in shower and heated towel rail. A cloakroom nearby adds practicality for groups preparing at the same time. Outside, the decked garden offers a peaceful corner to enjoy a morning drink or unwind after a day on the hills. When you’re ready to explore, the shops, bars and restaurants of Pitlochry are all within strolling distance, making it easy to enjoy local produce, a drink in a friendly pub or an evening at the theatre. The River Tummel also lies within easy reach, providing a scenic place for gentle ambles. Well placed for discovering Perthshire, the cottage gives you straightforward routes to some wonderful attractions. The nearby Pitlochry distillery welcomes you to taste its distinctive whiskies, wander through its storied still rooms and learn about traditional Highland craft. Pitlochry Festival Theatre, known for its vibrant programme, offers the chance to enjoy captivating performances, take part in workshops or admire its riverside setting. During September and October, the Enchanted Forest transforms Faskally Wood with spectacular light installations, magical soundscapes and an immersive woodland trail that draws visitors from far and wide. For those seeking outdoor adventures, the surrounding hills offer rewarding walks with sweeping views, and local pubs and breweries provide welcoming places to pause and enjoy a well-earned drink. With routes leading towards Aviemore, you can easily venture deeper into the Cairngorms, discovering mountain landscapes, wildlife encounters and an impressive variety of outdoor activities along the way. Choose Pirnie’s for a refreshing stay in a beautiful part of Perthshire where tradition, scenery and culture meet.
