Talysarn 1.7 miles. Plas Dorothea is a detached country house in Talysarn, Gwynedd, North Wales. This spacious house is suitable for a family reunion or a long-awaited friend’s trip, with an impressive bar, a large enclosed garden, and mountain views. A private pebbled driveway leads up to the house. Entering the property, many can appreciate its original tiled flooring; honing into this property’s traditional feel. There is a downstairs bedroom with a convenient en-suite. Across the hall is a sitting/dining area with an inglenook fireplace, TV, and a spacious dining area. Towards the rear of the property are the stand-out features of this home; an impressive bar with seating and a darts board for some friendly competition, and the kitchen is nearby to rustle up some pub-like grub. If you are the grill master of the group, you can utilise the garden with a barbecue in the patio area; the kids and pets can play on the lawn, and mornings can be enjoyed with the surrounding views of the mountains. Upstairs there are five more bedrooms, some with sofas, TVs, and some with en-suites but all with character and plenty of space to rest for the night. With peaks, paths, and plenty of scenery visit Eryi National Park (Snowdonia), the largest national park in Wales, and be sure to enjoy the starry sky at night as there is little to no light pollution. Ffestiniog & Welsh Highland Railways is a steam train with observation seats that can be booked for unobstructed views of the stunning scenery through the Welsh mountains. Caernarfon Castle, is a beautifully preserved 13th-century waterfront castle, with an interesting history to read up on and if you want to climb up the steep winding stairs; you will be rewarded with sunset views from the top.
