Situated in one of the finest locations in the unspoilt and historic working port and village of Charlestown, Poldark Cottage is hidden away along a quiet lane yet only a couple of minutes level walk from the world-famous harbour and beach. With private parking directly opposite the cottage you enter into the hallway and immediately feel at home. The living room is particularly comfy with a log burner for the cooler evenings adding to the atmosphere of this lovely cottage. From here you can access the private garden at the rear with a patio and ample furniture to relax at any time of day. On the first floor there are three beautifully furnished bedrooms, all with TV’s, with two being zip-and-link beds giving you the option of two singles or a king-size double in each. There are two bathrooms here, one on each floor with a shower in each and a bath in the family bathroom. To this day Charlestown retains much of its Georgian character and capitalises on its past by harbouring a fleet of square rigger ships transporting you into a bygone era. You wlll see why this unique combination of character and history so well preserved has led to Charlestown being such a popular location for filming, in particular, the TV series Poldark. In fact you might well experience filming taking place when you stay here such is the proximity of the cottage to the heart of the harbour and village. Of an evening as well as lunchtime you are well-catered for in terms of character pubs and excellent restaurants and cafes all within a few minutes’ walk. Poldark cottage provides excellent accommodation in a very special location and is available throughout the year.
