Within easy reach of ample settlements along Devon’s coast, along with Exmoor National Park, this is a charming setting for a group or family of four’s seaside escape. After climbing the steps to the property, be welcomed by a charming living/dining room, a space showcasing a toasty woodburning stove that is surrounded by ample seating for you all to unwind on; switch on the TV to enjoy a family film night. When you’re feeling peckish, progress through the property to find a country-style kitchen, where the designated chef can rustle up delicious home-cooked meals as they marvel at the rooftops of Lynmouth and distant sea from the window. Just off the kitchen is a utility hosting a handy washing machine and fridge/freezer. When dinner is served, enjoy it with your loved ones at the dining table as you recount your beachfront escapades. As the day draws to a close, ascend the stairs to discover to lovely bedrooms, one being a double featuring cream accents and sea views, the other being a spacious double hosting exposed beams, exposed stonework and rustic light fixtures; the space is served by a small mezzanine area, where you can stretch out on the sofa as you bask in the light streaming down from the skylight. The bedrooms are accompanied by a fantastic bathroom, a spot showcasing wooden features along with a bath with shower over; ideal for those evenings where you want to soak up after a day packed with walking. In the morning, savour a coffee at the one of two outdoor seating areas, the first being an enclosed front gravelled area, and the other being a quaint, lawned area situated to the side of the property. Just behind the property, you will find the fantastic Ancient Mariner pub, where you can enjoy a bite to eat on those days where you don’t feel up to cooking; after lunch, be sure to explore the lovely settlement of Lynmouth, where you will come across the stunning Blacklands Beach, the fascinating Llyn Model Railway and the enchanting Glen Lyn Gorge. Continue to Lynton and board the renowned Lynton & Lynmouth Railway to discover clifftop amusements, before touring the village’s unique art scene via its selection of galleries; venture a little further to find the National Trust’s heritage building of Watersmeet, for an afternoon immersed in history. Travel further afield to find yourself in the seaside resort of Ilfracombe, where you can explore the fantastic Ilfracombe Aquarium, embark on a hike through Hillsborough and Capstone Hill, before wandering through the town to enjoy a spot of retail therapy in its ample independent shops; why not treat yourself to a spot of sunbathing on Rapparee Cove and Wildersmouth Beach?
