There’s another little lawn to the side where you can stretch out on the loungers. The owner has poultry in the adjoining paddock and eggs and organic veg may be available in season. This is a great location for touring Devon and Dorset beyond this pretty village. The Jurassic Coast is fun for fossil hunting at Lyme Regis, Axminster is home to the River Cottage and Forde Abbey House and Gardens are splendid. Puffin Cottage is a dear little base for enjoying the lovely landscape and soaking up the peace.
