If you’d prefer to relax outdoors, venture to either the rear patio, or the front lawn, both completed with ample seating. Upstairs you will find three bedrooms, including two spacious king-size bedrooms, one with en-suite, and a single, all closely set by the main bathroom; enjoy far-reaching views from the first-floor, helping you unwind and experience a nature-filled break. Beyond Rainbow Cottage you’ll find various amenities situated within the village including the New Crown public house and restaurant, church, village hall and recreation area. Appleby includes a full range of shops public houses/restaurants and cafes, as does Penrith. Kirkby Thore includes the Bridge bistro, and a local petrol station/local store. Within the surrounding area you’ll also find Stenkrith Park, a 4.7km parkland, offering lakeside and woodland walks, Cliburn Moss Nature Reserve, home to diverse wildlife, and Bongate Mill, a charming Grade II listed water-powered mill. For good days out take a trip to Pooley Bridge, Ullswater or even Penrith with plenty to see and do.
