Please note that the charging of electric vehicles is not permitted at this lodge, the nearest charging point can be found at Booths Supermarket in Windermere.
Complimentary WiFi is provided by the park and subject to fair usage guidelines, Quality and reliability of connection will vary based on the number of people using it, prevailing weather conditions and therefore may be limited or slower than you are used to, WiFi is for personal use only and is not intended for high data usage, gaming and/or use for business purposes, This is only suitable for page browsing and sending emails, Bookings cannot be accepted if they are solely reliant on the provision of uninterrupted and unlimited Wi-Fi, We are not held responsible or liable for the WiFi on the park. If you encounter any issues with the WiFi, please contact White Cross Bay reception. Access to the local leisure facilities is complimentary and can be withdrawn at any time without financial penalty, we as the letting agent or the property owner cannot be held responsible for this provision in service, as it’s subject to third-party provider located off site. Note: For use of the onsite facilities, a complex pass is required, these can be purchased from reception.
Ridgway is a spacious three-bedroom holiday lodge at White Cross Bay, in a quieter area of the park, and just a short walk to the clubhouse and facilities. With a spacious deck, outdoor furniture and hot tub, it’s a superb base for your adventures and a relaxing place to return to after a busy day out and prepare your evening meal together whilst you swap stories about your day. The lodge has a ramp entrance making it easier to access but it is not fully adapted for wheelchair use.A travel cot is provided free of charge, which will fit in the master bedroom only and will be left in the lodge for you to put up. Please bring your own bedding for the travel cot. White Cross Bay is in a fabulous location, on the shores of Lake Windermere, with clubhouse and shop.. With views across the water and to the surrounding fells, you are literally in the heart of the Lake District and your lodge will be just a few yards from the waterside. Note: Some facilities on the park are subject to extra cost such as use of the pool, entertainment, bar and restaurant. 500 yards up the main A591 is Brockhole Lake District Visitor Centre, with its gardens, house, café, restaurant, walks, boats, adventure playground and Tree Top Trek: there’s lots to do! You’re also just two miles from Windermere village with shops, cafes and pubs, and three miles from Bowness boat landings, where the cruisers come in. Bowness is a cosmopolitan village with award-winning restaurants and pubs and quirky shops, a cinema and the World of Beatrix Potter attraction. Three miles in the other direction, head to Ambleside, another bustling town with shops, cafes, pubs and restaurants and of course, walks in every direction. Two miles north on the A592 is the pretty village of Troutbeck, home to two traditional pubs with log fires: The Queens Head and the Mortal man; Holehird Gardens, and the National Trust’s Townend House. Further on you climb up to the magnificent Kirkstone Pass, then drop down to Brotherswater & Ullswater. A wonderful place to make your happy memories of the Lake District.
