The traditional seaside town of Scarborough offers a vast choice of activities, with its castle ruins, open air theatre, long sandy beaches and a choice of two contrasting bays, complete with brightly painted beach huts and donkey rides. The area has miles of scenic cycle routes and bracing clifftop walks, including the Cleveland Way long distance trail. Explore the quaint fishing villages, such as Robin Hood’s Bay and Flamborough Head, or spend a cultural day in historic York, visiting the Minster, the National Railway Museum and the Jorvik Viking Centre.
