South Honeycroft Thatch is a characterful four bedroomed cob and thatched house, dating back to 1667, with some original features, including a bread oven and ancient original beams.
It is surrounded by glorious Devonshire countryside with views across to Dartmoor! It is 3 miles to the market town of Holsworthy: here you will find a small selection of shops including a Co-op, a good sized Waitrose, bakery/ tea shop, a butcher, post office, health food shop and a few good take-aways. There’s even a small golf course and swimming pool.
Being only half an hour from the beautiful Dartmoor National Park and 9 miles from the seaside town of Bude and Widemouth Bay, the choice is yours for that perfect day out.
There is plenty of wildlife to be found in the garden and surrounds including birds, rabbits, hedgehogs, badgers and even a deer or two. Surrounded by stunning rural views, and 2 acres of private land, South Honeycroft thatch offers a delightful and flexible home away from home for up to 8 guests; ideal for family gatherings, friends or multiple couples.
The downstairs bedroom is a lovely large room with an en-suite wet room. It has French doors opening out onto the decking; perfect for morning coffee from the lavazza coffee machine!
he extensive lounge/ sun room has two double doors which open out into the large decking where you will find plenty of comfy seating- perfect for a relaxing evening glass of wine!
Switch on the fabulous charbroil barbecue and cook your lunch or supper; or take a turn in the large hammock! However, on those cooler days/evenings, why not snuggle up on the huge sofas with some snacks, hot chocolate or a cheeky glass of red and watch a movie in front of the roaring fire, still enjoying the views as you do so? Why not have fun in the games room?
