Take a trip to the nearby market town of Helmsley, visit the castle and be sure to take the two mile walk along the valley to the beautiful Rievaulx Abbey. With the east coast seaside towns of Whitby and Scarborough within a half hour drive and the wonderful historic city of York an easy drive, you are well placed for an interesting and varied holiday.
