This is a delightful little semi-detached barn conversion, on the owners’ working livestock farm on the edge of the very pretty Peak District village of Wetton. On arrival, enter into the practical kitchen, complete with a dining table for enjoying a tasty evening meal. Two steps down from the kitchen is a cosy sitting room, with stone windowsills and a full-length window looking out over the village, while completing this welcoming room is a warming woodburner-effect electric fire. The staircase leads directly from the sitting room, arriving firstly at the cosy twin bedroom. Then, take another three steps to the shower room and double bedroom to the left, again with a window for gazing out over the village. There is plenty of parking available and a front courtyard with a bench makes a lovely spot for a coffee in the sun. Wetton itself is a lovely little village, with a good pub serving food. From Wetton, there are many varied things to explore, starting with a network of footpaths and the Dove and Manifold Valleys, which also have great cycle routes. Thor’s Cave offers an exciting opportunity for exploration and also has amazing views from the prow. The village of Hartington is just five miles away, with a traditional village feel and a range of shops and places to eat. Alton Towers is also less than half an hour’s drive away, making Stable Barn just the place to enjoy the wide choice of different attractions the Peak District has on offer!
