There are two pubs to visit in the local village and just 4 miles away is the city of Lincoln, where you can enjoy all manner of attractions such as Lincoln Castle houses, The Museum of Lincolnshire Life and the Usher Gallery. However, if it is walking trails you’re looking for, the village has access to ancient woodland, a variety of wildlife and the local nature reserve in Whisby Nature Park. There is a celebration of 100 years of RAF this year and Skellingthorpe and Lincoln has very close ties to RAF, the International Bomber Command Memorial Spire which was inaugurated this year and is only 4 miles away.
