Allow the chef amongst the group to whip up a delicious meal before toasting to a wonderful Lake District getaway amidst your loved ones. Head upstairs to discover the bedrooms, comprised of a double and twin and furnished with contemporary fabrics and neutral colours to form a relaxing ambiance. The bathroom is where you can prepare for the day, with a bath and shower over, basin and WC. An easy stroll into Grasmere will take you to a selection of shops, restaurants, cafés and the famous Gingerbread Shop where you can sample some delicious sweet treats. A short walk along the River Rothay will lead you directly to Grasmere Lake where you can see the natural beauty that inspired many poets and authors over the years. You can also visit the two homes of William Wordsworth, with both Dove Cottage and Rydal Mount open to the public. Further afield, Windermere is within a short drive adjacent to the world-famous lake, offering all the energetic countryside activities you could desire including a range of water sports, or perhaps take a more relaxed approach with a trip on the lake itself.
