Wake-up tired eyes with a refreshing shower, before setting out for the day to explore. Wander into the local town, where you will find a host of activity right on your doorstep, with an excellent selection of pubs, restaurants and shops ensuring you have everything you could need, the scenic Birks of Aberfeldy where you can soak up the sights of the beautiful waterfalls and countryside, the Dewar’s Aberfeldy Distillery, where you can sample a selection of whiskeys, enjoy a tour of the 1890’s distillery and its interactive museum. For the walkers and cyclists in your party, there is a 10-mile trail alongside the River Tay, where you can stroll leisurely and watch the world go by. For thrill seekers, there is also the option to take part in white water rafting, paintballing, canyoning and river adventure trips with Splash White Water Rafting. Just a little further is the town of Pitlochry, home to the ruins of the once remarkable Black Castle, here you can learn more about the local area at the Atholl Palace Museum or make a stop at the Pitlochry Fish Ladder. For a superb walk, be sure to visit the Faskally Forest, an area well-known for its hiking and bird watching, as well as a pretty lake.
