Take a stroll along the seafront to the iconic Cobb where you can stop for a bite to eat at one of the popular pubs or for those wishing to get out on the water there are regular fishing trips, boat rides or water sports to enjoy from the harbour. Popular days out include Charmouth, with its Heritage Coast Centre, where you can pick up tips on how to find the fossils on the shore and learn about this incredible stretch of the World Heritage Coastline. The South West Coast Path is popular for walkers and takes in pretty fishing villages such as Seatown and Eype and rewards with breath-taking scenic views of the coast towards Chesil Beach and Portland on a clear day. For families with younger children, the Axe Valley Animal Park is a small and friendly zoo situated in the beautiful countryside of the Axe Valley, just outside Axminster.
