Trefor 2.5 miles. Sweetholme is a traditional, Welsh cottage nestled in the quaint hamlet of Gyrn Goch on the scenic Llyn Peninsula. This inviting dwelling, which dates back to the 19th century, has been tastefully renovated to provide an exceptional holiday home for families and pets, retaining much of the style and character you would expect from a property of this period. Step inside into the light and airy kitchen/diner, finished with sleek units and a contemporary assortment of appliances, along with a dining table with bench beside an alluring woodburning stove. Move into the lounge, where the exposed beams, feature fireplace and plush settees invite you to unwind after a long day. Follow the stairs and feature wall-piece to reach the bedrooms, housing a king-size with en-suite shower and a twin with pull-out trundle bed, each finished in neutral tones with rustic nooks and crannies. Outside and to the front there is a small garden with floral borders and a lawned area with seating at the side, offering splendid areas for outdoor dining and entertaining. The nearby village of Clynnog Fawr has a beautiful 7th century church and a choice of amenities, including a petrol station with a shop from which you can stock up on the essentials. Head further afield and discover the beautiful Caeau Tan y Bwlch North Wales Wildlife Trust Nature Reserve, or visit the Airworld Aviation Museum for a history-rich activity. Head towards Caernarfon coastline to visit the local sailing club, or discover the charming grounds of the imposing Caernarfon Castle. Those keen cyclists can enjoy the local cycle paths whilst the start of the Snowdonia National Park is nearby and offers unrivalled scenery and walking routes. Alternatively, visit the attractive coastal village of Nefyn and see its graceful sandy beach and choose from a selection of well-established eateries. However you choose to spend your holiday time, return to Sweetholme and start planning the next adventure.
