On your travels you’ll also reach River Taw, where you can enjoy a relaxing stroll.Sticklepath is also home to Finch Foundry nurtured by the National Trust. Just a mile away, Belstone offers a scenic setting for moorland walking with a tea room and pub. Travelling to Okehampton, opt for a tour of the Museum of Dartmoor Life, offering the chance to brush up on your local knowledge, or head to Okehampton Castle and its 14th century grounds for an audio tour. Within easy driving distance you’ll find two further National Trust properties: Castle Drogo, which is reputed to be the last castle to be built in England and Lydford Gorge with the Whitelady Waterfall and the Devil’s Cauldron.
